Welcoming a new tenant: HEXAGON's Hungarian headquarters is moving to BudafokOne!

the Hungarian division of HEXAGON Manufacturing Intelligence is establishing its new metrology centre here.

The decision of this Swedish-rooted, globally significant company is an important milestone in the life of our park. The move also signals that CityOne's urban logistics model now provides a suitable operating environment even for players requiring the highest industrial precision.

HEXAGON: Micron precision in a controlled environment

HEXAGON's activities belong to the high-tech segment of manufacturing. Their portfolio includes coordinate measuring machines (CMM), laser trackers, 3D scanners, and calibration instruments, which are indispensable from the automotive industry to medical technology.

They have been active in Hungary since 2008 through Hexagon Metrology Kft., which was created through the acquisition of Kompakt-gép Kft. The domestic team is about 10 people, and their work is supported by a global professional background: the Swedish parent company Hexagon AB is present in more than 50 countries worldwide, with around 24,000 employees.

In 2024 they introduced their AI-based automation solutions, which significantly reduce the programming time of machine tools and increase manufacturing efficiency.

A leap in quality: lab, office, and warehouse in one place

‍

Hexagon is moving to the BudafokOne urban logistics park from a previous location, to continue its complex activities in a higher-quality environment.

BudafokOne's features made it possible to integrate office, warehouse, and laboratory functions. Unified operation results in faster internal processes, a more transparent organisation, and more efficient partner service.

At the new base, a temperature-controlled laboratory is also being established, where a constant temperature of 20 ±1 °C ensures stable conditions for precision measurements. The park's technical team provides the necessary support on the infrastructure side.
